Historic Australia - Interactive Photos Map
The Interactive Photos Map is a flickr + google map + wikipedia mashup for Australian War Memorial Photo Collection, Powerhouse Museum Photo Collection, State Library of NSW Photo Collection and State Library of Queensland Photo Collection.
The mashup code is reusable which means it can be used for any flickr account. If you are interested in using this technology to create a mashup for your organisation or project, please contact us.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Why isn't "View on map" link available for every photo?
- "View on map" link is only available for those photos with location data because geocode information is required to pinpoint a position on the map.
- How do you obtain similiar photos on Flickr?
- Similiar photos are obtained by running a free text search against the original photo title. Photos who's title, description or tags containing the text will be returned. Therefore, it may not always be perfect.
- I have many histroic photos of Australia. How do I contribute?
- If your photos are already on Flickr, please email us the url. If not, please email us anyway, and we will work something out.
- What are the browser requirements in order to view this mashup?
- You should be able to use any modern browser with Javascript and CSS enabled. Please let us know if you have any issues viewing the mashup.
